US$75,000 reward for rebel who ordered memorial march bombing

Colombian authorities have offered a US$75,000 reward for the ELN
guerrilla whom they claim is responsible for the bombing of a memorial
march by members of the armed forces on Wednesday.

According to the Police, the ELN commander responsible for the attack is Arrigui ‘Antonio’ Guenis, alleged head of the Jose David Suarez front of Colombia’s second largest rebel group.

The bomb attack cost the life of one of the participating policemen. Some 300 police and army officials are taking part in the Route of the Liberators, a memorial march remembering the travels of Simon Bolivar 200 years ago.
