Uribe not to resume normal activities Thursday

Colombian President Alvaro Uribe, who was diagnosed with AH1N1 flu over
the weekend, will not resume normal activities Thursday as his press
office had announced earlier this week.

A release from the presidency press office
says Uribe will be audio conferencing with the attendees at a National
Savings Fund event the president was expected to attend today at the
Sports Palace in Bogota.

According to W Radio,
Uribe will also audio conference with the participants at Camacol
congress in Cartagena on Friday, and the Conaltur congress in Bogota on
Saturday. The radio newscast also says that Uribe called off a communal
council scheduled Saturday in Bogota.

The latest update on Uribe’s health says he is improving.
