Urban guerrillas captured in Bogota: Police

Police captured 12 suspected members of FARC’s urban guerrilla branch in Bogota, said a police report Tuesday.

Police said the suspects are part of FARC front Ariari’s urban division and responsible for several attacks in the city, including a grenade attack last November.

According to the report Ariari is headed by Henry Catellanos Garzon, alias, “Romaña.”

Police said Romaña has stepped up a campaign of propaganda and bombings following the death of FARC commander “Mono Jojoy,” in 2010.

The report said the suspects were also involved in the secret manufacturing of fake police and military uniforms, which they used to carry out attacks and operation in Bogota.

Along with the suspects, police reported the capture of two fire arms, ammunition, 20 kilos of cocaine, 8 cellphones, 10 SIM cards, and a 4×4 truck.
