Two soldiers die in combat with FARC

Two soldiers died in combat with FARC guerrillas in the west Colombia department of Choco , local media reported Wednesday.

Officials told Caracol radio, the men died while fighting the guerrillas in San Rafael Dicho over control over the village near the highway connecting Choco capital Quibdo with Medellin. Two more members of the armed forces were injured.

The army tries to regain control over the area to avoid the FARC attacking villages in the area north west of Quibdo.
