Speed and fresh air just outside Medellin

If you are looking for a serious adrenalin boost, fresh air and some of
Colombia’s beautiful flora and fauna, go to the Montevivo reservation
in Santa Elena, only 30 minutes outside Medellin.

You can speed above the forest on five different zip lines, one route is 400 meters – one of the longest in the world. Equipped with a security belt, helmet and gloves, the adventure begins with a hike through Colombia’s diverse flora and fauna.

Gazing at palm trees and orchids, butterflies and eagles, time flies by and you will reach the platform in a blink. After a brief lesson you can jump into velocity and speed freely above the trees. If you chicken out during the ride, just grab the line with a gloved hand and you’ll slow down. The adventure ends after only 45 seconds but the adrenalin pumping will make you smile for the rest of the day.

For those who are not into speed but into heights, you can visit the climbing park and swing from tree to tree. And for the lazy ones that just want to relax – check out the eco spa, the restaurants and accommodations next to a lake and dotted around the reservation.
