Shock magazine is looking for the ‘best DJ in Colombia’

Shock magazine, in collaboration with Miller brewing company, will host competitions in bars across Colombia in search of the country’s best DJs.

The search, which begins July 21 and ends August 13, will visit Medellin, Cali, and Bogota.

Contestants will enter as either “professionals” or “amateurs.” Professionals are considered to have at least 3 years of playing experience, or played in 10 public events. Amateurs do not need any formal experience, but they must be over 18 years old.

Winners from each city will be chosen by audience members, online votes, and official judges. Both amateur and professional DJs in the semi-finals will then face off at a major concert in Bogota on November 3.

The ultimate winner will play in the U.S. Miller Music Tour, receive a Macbook Pro, be featured in the music magazine Shock, and will also play at the Shock Music Awards 2011.
