Rujano unstoppable in Vuelta a Colombia

Jose Rujano clinched his third stage victory in the Vuelta a Colombia.
Consequently, the Venezuelan extended his lead in the general
classification.

Following Tuesday’s cancelled stage nine, which could not go on due to avalanches, the riders hopped back onto their bikes for stage ten from Manizales in Caldas, to Guaduas in Cundinamarca.

Through the tropical heat, Rujano once again showed to be in great shape. The Gobernacion de Zulia rider finished 54 seconds ahead of Javier Gonzales (Loteria de Boyaca). Freddy Montaña of Boyaca es para Vivirla came in third.

Santiago Botero lost several minutes and dropped from third to seventh place in the general classification. Rujano’s lead over Montaña grows to more than five minutes.

On Thursday, the peloton leaves Guaduas to go deeper into Cundinamarca and finish in Zipaquira, at about one hour from Bogota.
