Police capture high-ranking ‘Urabeños member’ in northern Colombia

Colombian police announced the capture of a high-ranking member of the neo-paramilitary group, the Urabeños, in the northern department of Magdalena Monday.

Alias “Bobo Lindo” is alleged to have been the fourth-highest ranking member in the department and head of the group’s urban network, and is accused of leading the region’s assassination squad. He was wanted on charges of aggravated murder, forced displacement and drug trafficking.

The suspected drug lord had two outstanding arrest warrants at the time of his capture.
