Paulina Rubio sued over missing Colombian concert

Mexican pop singer Paulina Rubio faces a lawsuit for failing to appear at a concert in Colombia, the Miami Herald reported Tuesday.

According to the Miami newspaper, the pregnant singer is being sued for breach of contract after leaving a crowd, including the Colombian president, waiting in the central Colombian town of Tunja.

According to the plaintiffs, the singer demanded to be flown from Medellin to Tunja in a $200,000 private jet, which was arranged, but was flown to Bogota instead because of flight restrictions.

Rubio then refused to travel overland despite the military escort that was offered.

According to the Herald, the singer’s psychiatrist blames the whole mix-up on Rubio’s “clinical depression,” and said that if she doesn’t travel with her dog Lima Valentina, she is a mess.
