Colombian Navy detains Cuban migrants

The Colombian Navy has found 13 illegal Cuban migrants on a fishing boat off the Caribbean coast, local media reported Monday.

According to newspaper El Colombiano, a Colombian Navy Commander for the Caribbean said the migrants left the port of Turbo, near Uraba, and were travelling to Acandi, Choco.

The migrants were attempting to reach Central America, he said, and were found near the border with Panama.

Navy officials handed the migrants to judicial authorities and immigration.
