Music Voyager begins a tour of six Colombian cities to record its program with Colombian artists, Radio Nacional de Colombia reports.

Music Voyager is a music and travel television “series that gives viewers a backstage pass to the world’s most popular and exciting music,” says the website.

Host Jacob Edgar will uncover Colombia’s musical and cultural landscapes, heritage and history in three 30 minute programs which will air in 133 countries.

Music Voyager will be recorded in Bogota, Cali, Medellin, Valledupar, Cartagena and Santa Marta, and will feature La 33, Bomba Estereo, Grupo Niche, Joe Arroyo, Fonseca, Toto la Momposina and Los Niños Vallenatos among others.

The project is conducted through the help of Colombia’s Ministry of Culture, presenting and promoting the country’s musical diversity.

The series of programs on Colombian music will be broad casted in February 2011.
