The suspected boss of the “Oficina de Envigado,” a Medellin crime syndicate formed by Pablo Escobar, on Tuesday was extradited to Colombia to face charges.
The alleged crime boss will be moved to the Jose Felix de Restrepo justice building in Medellin for arraignment.
The nine-person massacre in Envigado is suspected to have been the result of in-fighting within the ranks of the “Oficina de Envigado,” one of Medellin’s most powerful gangs.
Police reports gave a rare glimpse into the accused’s personal life. According to the newspaper El Tiempo, an altar of skulls and machetes was found in Pichi’s Panama residence. He supposedly also sought the consulation of a witch to evade capture.
