Medellin hosts dramatic 7th annual Theater Art Festival (video)

Medellin Scene will be hosting their 7th annual Theater Art Festival starting Saturday, August 27 and lasting until Saturday, September 3.

The week kicks off with a wild inaguration parade starting at Teatro Pablo Tobon Uribe and ending at the Museo de Antioquia on Saturday August 27 at 3PM.

Saturday night will host a “Theater Grind” show for all “night-owls, sleepwalkers, and hoodlums”, at a schedule fit for “bad husbands, unfaithful wives, and couples in a state of separation.” The “Theater Grind” will be a 7-hour marathon of short theater performances, beginning at 10PM Saturday, August 27 and ending at 5AM Sunday, August 28.

All week, on over 17 different theater stages throughout Medellin, theater performances, story-telling, dancing, and circus acts will feature more than 1,400 local and international artists and actors, according to Medellin Scene.

Medellin Scene is a social and cultural business specializing in services and events related to the theater arts.
