Travelers wanting to go from Medellin to Miami on Sunday were told their American Airlines flight was suspended until Wednesday because of a fire at Miami International Airport.
The Sunday afternoon flight by Colombian airliner Avianca from Medellin is scheduled to arrive in Miami according to schedule, the Miami airport’s website said.
Delays at Bogota because of the fire led to protests on Saturday after American Airlines flights to Miami there was canceled too.
A spokesperson of Bogota’s El Dorado airport told Colombia Reports that all flights from the capital to Miami on Sunday are flying according to schedule.
Miami International Airport was forced to cancel dozens of flights after a fire Saturday made the airport’s fuel pump unoperationable.
