Lina Marulanda is laid to rest in Bogota

The funeral of Colombian model Lina Marulanda, who died on Thursday after falling from a sixth-floor balcony, took place Friday afternoon in Bogota, reported Colombian media.

Marulanda’s remains were cremated in the Gimnasio Moderno church in the Colombian capital, after which her ashes were transported to Medellin – the model’s place of birth.

On the day of the incident police confirmed that the woman had fallen from the balcony of her apartment only moments after locking herself up in her room.

Marulanda had recently separated from her husband and, according to her friends, was going through a difficult time.
