Bogota team La Equidad took the lead in the Colombian soccer league final Sunday by beating Atletico Nacional 2-1 in the first leg of the final.
It took the home team hard work after Nacional striker German Caffa scored the first after no less than seven minutes.
After the surprise goal, La Equidad immediately took the initiative and scored 1-1 only a few minutes after.
The home team then went ahead only minutes before the end of the first half when “Pichu” Nuñez shot the ball into the Nacional net, 2-1.
Nacional were able to make a fist and take the lead in the second half, but failed to find a way past the defense of La Equidad, who will have to travel to Nacional’s hometown of Medellin next Saturday for the final leg.
