Colombian President Alvaro Uribe and his Mexican counterpart Felipe
Calderon inaugurated the International Book Fair of Bogota Wednesday
evening. The fair takes place until August 23.
“More Mexico in Colombia, more Colombia in Mexico” is the slogan of the 22nd version of the fair with Mexico as its guest of honor. “To show the great importance of the relations between Colombia and Mexico”, the Mexican president Felipe Calderon will open the fair together with his Colombian counterpart Alvaro Uribe.
412 exhibitors present on more than 18,000 square meters the latest books. During the next eleven days, various literary, cultural and academic events will take place, like a seminar on copyright and a Latin American meeting of publishers of children books.
