Police said they have captured the head hit man of the criminal gang “Los Urabeños,” Caracol Radio reported Friday.

Walter Diaz, alias “El Bachiller” or “Brayan,” was captured by authorities in Ayepel in the northern department of Cordoba.

The former member of the AUC bloc Heroes de Tolova is now said to be the leader of the hit men for the drug gang Los Urabeños.

El Bachiller, who was alone at the time of capture, is suspected of committing several massacres in Cordoba and the department of Antioquia including the 2005 slaying of five adults and two children in Antioquia, according to Caracol Radio.
