Today’s Google logo depicts a voting box decked out in the red, yellow, and blue of Colombia’s flag in commemoration of the country’s presidential elections, which started Sunday at 8AM.

The doodle, which went up early Sunday morning, shows a completed ballot being submitted, an apparent call for eligible Colombians to exercise their right to vote.

Google had released a similar doodle for first round elections May 25 — with a ballot entering the election urn in the middle of the image, and the letters lined up, as if waiting for their turn — and for congressional elections March 9.

On Sunday, Colombians take to the polls to choose whether to grant incumbent President Juan Manuel Santos another four years in office or have him replaced by hard-line opposition rival Oscar Ivan Zuluaga.
The run-off vote is expected to produce the tightest presidential race in recent history with support polls placing the two candidates neck and neck.
Voting opens at 8AM and will close at 4PM, with results expected to be reported prior to 8PM local time. Armed security details and independent electoral observers are already stationed throughout the country.
