The Colombian police anti-narcotic division captured fourteen drug traffickers during raids in Bogota, Cali and Popayan, two of which are wanted for extradition by the U.S., reports El Espectador.

The detainees will be questioned by U.S. authorities for allegedly smuggling several tons of cocaine.

Police confiscated 46 properties belonging to the drug trafficking organizations and handed them over to the national forfeiture unit in Bogota.

General Franscisco Patiño of the anti-narcotic division is expected to give further details of the operation in the next few days.
