Former governor and ambassador arrested for paramilitary ties

Former governor of Cauca and ex-ambassador of the Dominican Republic,
Juan Jose Chaux, is being investigated for alleged ‘parapolitics’.

The dipomat was arrested on El Dorado airport after testimonies by demobilized paramilitary warlord Ever ‘HH’ Veloza that
Chaux met several times with members of the AUC.

Chaux was captured in the El Dorado airport in Bogota.
