Foo Fighters announce Colombia gig

The Foo Fighters will visit Colombia in January for their first ever concert in the country.

For the very first time the North American band Foo Fighters will be in Colombia on 31 January 2015 as part of their world tour to launch their eighth studio album “Sonic Highways,” which will be released in November this year.

The album contains eight songs, each recorded in a different American city, legendary recording studios in Austin, Chicago, Los Angeles, Nashville, New Orleans, New York, Seattle and Washington DC. It is rumored that “Sonic Highways” is the most ambitious work of the band to date.

Founded by Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl in 1995, Foo Fighters released their eponymous debut album in July of that same year. They have won eleven Grammys and will perform such hits as “Learn to Fly”, “All My Life”, “Time Like These”, “Best of You”, “My Hero” and “The Pretender”.

The Foo Fighters will perform in Chile, Argentina and Brazil before closing the tour in Bogota.

Tickets go on sale on 16 October and range in price from $40 to $160.
