5 FARC guerrillas killed in bombings

At least five guerrillas died in bombings of four FARC camps in the East Colombia Guania department, international media reported Tuesday.

According to General Jorge Ballesteros, Colombia’s Air Force attacked camps in Puerto Inirida and killed five rebels. Authorities believe that commander Henry Castellanos, alias ‘Romaña,
a regional commander of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), is hiding there.

At the same time, five FARC guerrillas surrendered to the military for protection in the departments Tolima, Boyaca, Caqueta and Antioquia. One of the surrendered rebels is a seven-month pregnant woman.
