214 cases of kidnapping have been for extortion and the others 86 have been named in the report of unit as “simple kidnapping.”The regions hardest hit with the abduction of minors by the FARC are Antioquia, with 46 cases, Cundinamarca, 33, Bogota with 24, Valle del Cauca with 22 , Huila with 21 and Meta with 20.Of the reported cases, 144 of the children deprived of their freedom were girls and 156 were boys.Five children knew to escape their abductors and 92 were rescued by the authorities.
