Police nab alleged drug trafficker in western Colombia

Colombia’s Technical Investigation Team captured suspected drug trafficker Aristides Pacheco Benitez in western Colombia, newspaper El Espectador reported Thursday.

Pacheco is believed to be linked to the criminal gang the “Rastrojos” and was arrested on charges of drug manufacturing and trafficking, weapons dealing and murder.

Benitez was apprehended in Nuqui township, in the Pacific coastal department of Choco.
