Uribe needs time: Colombia’s richest man

Colombia’s richest businessman has spoken out in support of President
Alvaro Uribe, saying he should be given time to decide whether he will
run for re-election. 

Magnate banker Luis Carlos Sarmiento said Uribe must be under immense pressure and should be allowed to consider his future “in peace and calm”.

He said that the situation in Colombia has improved under Uribe and that the country has seen important changes in the economy, defense and development.
