Colombian soccer coach Hernan ‘Bolillo’ Gomez resigns

Colombian national soccer coach, Hernan Dario “Bolillo”Gomez, resigned from his position Tuesday after hitting a woman in a Bogota bar.

President of the Colombian Soccer Federation, Luis Bedoya, confirmed that Gomez had turned in his letter of resignation and that he had accepted the coach’s decision, according to Terra news.

Gomez attacked a Bogota woman in a bar on Saturday, and has received backlash from the National Soccer Federation, Congress, and his family, friends, and fans.

Gomez traveled to Medellin after officially relinquishing his position as coach of the national FIFA soccer team.
