Colombia celebrates Gay Pride (photos)

The GLBT community in several of Colombia’s main cities took to the streets on Sunday for an extravagant celebration of Gay Pride.

Thousands of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transsexual Colombians marched through the cities of Bogota, Medellin and Cali.

Apart from celebrating their sexuality, the GLBT marchers protested against violence in the community and in defense of their rights.

According to RCN Radio, 111 members of the GLBT community have been murdered because of their sexual preference in Medellin alone.
