1.5 tons of marijuana seized in western Colombia

Police have seized a ton and a half of marijuana in the west of Colombia, reported local media on Wednesday.

The marijuana was transported in a truck under butter and flour in order to conceal its smell, reported local media. According the police, the drugs belonged to Colombia´s biggest drug trafficking organization, Los Rastojos.

According to Caracol Radio, the drugs was seized just outside the city of Armenia, came from the southwestern department of Cauca and were meant for the black market in the capital Bogota.

RCN radio reported the police found 1489 packages of marijuana loaded in the truck.

With the drug confiscation police were able to capture three individuals allegedly involved in transporting the marijuana.
