Cartagena back on winning track in Colombian league

Real Cartagena are back in the top four of the Colombian Liga Postobon following a 1-0 win over Millonarios, while Junior were held to a goalless draw at Huila.

After losing their last three games, Cartagena returned to winning ways in their home match with a very troubled Millonarios side. The only goal of the match came after 70 minutes and was scored by Harold Macias.

As result, Cartagena climb back to third place at the expense of Junior who forgot to score in their away match to Atletico Huila in the city of Neiva.

In Saturday’s remaining match, Atletico Nacional kept hope alive with a 0-2 win at Cortulua, who went a man down after only 15 minutes when Carlos Barahona was handed a direct red card.

Giovanni Moreno put the away side in the lead after 29 minutes and the game was all but decided when Orlando Berrio doubled the advantage eight minutes after the hour.

On Sunday, joint leaders Independiente Medellin host Once Caldas and America host Deportivo in this week’s Cali classic.
