Bogota mayor discharged from hospital

The mayor of Colombia’s capital Bogota was discharged from hospital Monday after undergoing brain surgery.

Mayor Gustavo Petro had been treated in the Santa Fe Foundation in Bogota where a blood clot was removed from his brain on Thursday.

Petro has recovered well and is expected to resume his duties as mayor after a 10-day recovery.
