Authorities nab prominent neo-paramilitary boss

Police arrested the leader of ‘Los Urabeños’, a drug-running neo-paramilitary group active in the north-east of Colombia, the country’s president Alvaro Uribe announced Saturday.

The alleged warlord, Deiber Luis Durán, alias ‘Morcilla’, was arrested early Saturday morning in a town in the northern Cordoba department, Uribe said.

Los Urabeños, previously called Autodefensas Gaitanistas used to be under command by “Don Mario” until his arrest last year.
