Authorities capture ‘Office of Envigado’ boss

Colombian police say they captured one of the alleged bosses of
Medellín-based paramilitary organization, the ‘Office of Envigado’.

Douglas Alfonso ‘Samir’ Cedeño was arrested in the north easterndepartment of Norte de Santander.

‘Samir’ used to be member of the AUC’s Cacique Pipintá Bloc that never took part in the massive demobilization process.

According to authorities, the Cacique Pipintá Bloc, led by jailed paramilitary warlord Roberto Duque, have been dealth serious blows and had been cooperating intensly with the ‘Office of Envigado’ and dedicated to extortion practices in Antioquia and Caldas.

‘Samir’ allegedly was on his way to Venezuela when he was caught.
