United States drug czar Gil Kerlikowske will be in Colombia from Monday until Thursday, a source within the U.S. embassy in Bogota told Spanish press agency EFE Sunday.
During his visit, Kerlikwoske will meet with high government officials like President Juan Manuel Santos and national police commissioner Oscar Naranjo.
The director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy will also visit a square and a school in the southern Bogota neighborhood of Usme where a non-governmental organization works with young drug addicts, EFE reported.
Following his visit to Colombia, Kerlikowske will travel to Panama, the embassy official said.
