Ali Campbell, former frontman of band UB40, will perform in Bogota and Medellin during the first week of May, local media reports.
The singer is best known for his distinctive vocal style on popular cover hits “Red Red Wine”, “Don’t Break my Heart,” “One in Ten” and “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”
Campbell first hits the capital with a May 4 show at the Downtown Majestic Theatre, before appearing at La Macarena Events Centre in Colombia’s second-largest city the following day.
The Medellin concert will be a haven for reggae fans, as Campbell will be accompanied by Jamaican band Inner Circle, known for 90s hits “Bad Boys” and “Sweat a La la la la long.”
Shows begin at 8pm and tickets range from COP65,000 ($37) to COP126,000 ($71).
