The ‘new face’ of Colombia top drug kingpin ‘El Loco’

Police tracking the movements of one of Colombia’s most-wanted drug bosses are now on the look out for slightly different face.

Daniel “El Loco” Barrera, referred to as the “closest thing” to Pablo Escobar, has changed his appearance, local media reported Sunday.

According to news network Noticias Uno, the drug lord has a thinner face, more pronounced eyebrows, a mustache and longer hair.

Barrera is reportedly carrying the identification of his brother, Arnold.

“El Loco” is widely considered Colombia’s biggest drug lord and operating from the southeastern plains of the South American country.

He has been indicted in the United States on drug trafficking charges. Barrera runs an extensive network transporting cocaine from Colombia to the U.S. that includes alliances with paramilitary and rebel forces.
