The Amazing Race arrives in Cartagena

The eighth and ninth episodes of the Latin American version of reality show The Amazing Race have been filmed in Colombia’s Caribbean city Cartagena de Indias.

Though no longer able to count on the participation of its teams (who were eliminated in previous rounds), Colombia is featured heavily in the seventh, eighth and ninth episodes of the tv show as filming for the seventh episode took place in Bogota and the following two will take place in Cartagena and her Caribbean surroundings.

Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Venezuela still have teams competing for the $250,000 grand prize, reported news site Estereofonica on Friday.

The ninth episode, taking place in Cartagena’s iconic Castle of San Felipe de Barajas, will be aired on Sunday at 10PM.

The show is divided into 13 episodes and premiered on September 20 on the Discovery Channel. For more information and updates on the events taking place click here.
