Singer Juanes to continue P.A.R.C.E. tour in Spain before short break

Juanes arrives in Spain, where he will continue his “P.A.R.C.E.” tour with visits to nine Spanish cities, before taking a month’s break to be with his family.

The Colombian pop sensation has variously rejected claims made a month ago by his manager that the singer was “depressed” and would be taking a three to four year break, stating that he will only take a short rest to spend time with his family.

Juanes stressed how “special” the current tour is, stating, “It is a very special tour. It is a very special year for me in fact. This album is special and the moment is special too.”

The Medellin native called his tour “a sort of diary” in which he is replaying his solo career from the first album until the last, and that attendees can “enjoy from beginning to end, because it has many moments: songs of happiness, of intimacy, of love, of sadness,” newspaper El Espectador reported.

The singer also reported that his career has turned a corner, though he is not sure where it is going, stating “my music and my career have taken a turn for another place, I don’t know where, but I know that I am in a process of change.”

The “P.A.R.C.E.” tour is named after Juanes’ fifth solo album, released this past December. According to the singer’s official website, the tour will continue in Gijon, Spain on July 15, before passing through Barcelona and Madrid, among other cities.
