Reggae, dubstep and electro at Medellin’s Festival of Music

The Colombian city of Medellin will celebrate its Festival of Music this Friday with a night of hip-hop, reggae and electro sounds.

Organized by the French language institute Alianza Francesa, the evening will involve sets from French dance music DJs Dub4 and Sunka.

The institute’s website describes Dub4 as “one of France’s most sought-after electronic DJs” and a “leader in the reggae, dubstep and electro cultural scene,” whilst DJ Sunka has become famous for his mix of hip-hop, techno and drum’n’bass, creating an “upbeat and powerful” sound.

Both artists have toured several times around France and will on Friday be making their Colombian debut.

The free concert will take place in Medellin’s Museum of Antioquia on June 25.
