Bogota youth stabbed to death in more soccer hooligan violence

An unnamed youth has been stabbed to death and another wounded in Bogota during clashes between fans of local clubs on Sunday morning, Caracol Radio reported.

The young Millionarios fan was admitted to hospital at 6AM Sunday after having received several stab wounds to the chest. He later died of his injuries, while another youth is in a critical but stable condition and remains in recovery.

The pair were involved in a clash of about 12 people supporting opposing local team Santa Fe. The incident occurred at a TransMilenio bus station, which they forced their way into.

Later on Sunday, the slain youth’s team Millionarios managed to overcome champions Once Caldas on penalties and advance to the semi-finals where they will play local rivals La Equidad.

Police said they arrested one suspect.
