Bad weather causes chaos at Bogota airport

Bad weather across Colombia has caused major delays of Avianca flights departing from Bogota, Caracol radio reported.

According to the radio station, delays initially caused by heavy rains in major cities like Bogota and Medellin on Friday afternoon spurred further inconveniences with the airline that lasted until Saturday.

Some flight were delayed with as much 10 hours on Friday and three hours on Saturday, the radio station said.

The airline was not available to comment on the excessive delays.
