Authorities seize millionary assets of Office of Envigado

118 properties of alleged members of the Medellin-based paramilitary organization Office of Envigado were seized by Colombian authorities, the Prosecutor General’s Office announced Wednesday.

The properties seized in Bogota, Medellin, Barranquilla, and seven other towns in Colombia included 66 realties, 23 vehicles, 19 shops, and 10 stocks, and were valued at US$30 million.

According to a press release, the seized properties are currently registered in the name of Omar de Jesús Muñoz Henao, Manuel José Cardona Osorio, Oscar Mauricio Henao Toro, Carlos Arturo Ceren, Carlos José Zuluaga Ochoa, Jhon Jairo Ochoa Meza, and Gilberto Sánchez Rico, all in Colombian jails with extradition requests by Florida Southern Distict Court.

Other owners of the properties taken by Colombian authorities are Edgar Emilio Simmonds Gallardo, Mauricio Zuluaga, and Nelson Eugenio Aristizabal against whom there are outstanding arrest warrants and extradition requests.
