Alternative electronic trio Thieves Like Us to perform Bogota

Alternative synth pop and electronic music trio Thieves Like Us will perform in Bogota on July 22, before hitting Medellin the following night, events site Shock.com reported.

Two years after their last trip to Colombia, the two Swedes and one American who make up the group are returning to give a double performance in the country’s two biggest cities.

The group formed in Berlin, Germany in 2002, naming themselves after the famous Robert Altman film “Thieves Like Us,” and its members take their influence from the band Slowdive, of the alternative rock style shoegaze, psychedelic rock band Pink Floyd’s co-founder Syd Barrett, and classic groups such as the Rolling Stones and the Cure.

Thieves Like Us are also known for connecting cinema to their music, with music videos that transport the public back to the 1970s and 1980s with their old-school clothing styles and decor.

This time the group will arrive with top tracks from their latest album “Again and Again” and will present their new single “Your Love Runs Still.”
