Medellin shootout kills 4

Four men have been killed in a shooting in Colombia’s second largest city, Medellinlocal media reported on Monday.

The quadruple murder happened in the eastern Manrique neighborhood of the Antioquian capital.

According to the reports, the victims were in a bar when armed men in a taxi opened fire.

A large number of urban gangs, supported by nationally operating drug trafficking organizations, control drug markets and extortion schemes in Medellin.

The Manrique neighborhood, traditionally one of the city’s most violent, has enjoyed relative peace over the past year.
