2 prosecutors and 4 investigators arrested for narco links

Technical Investigations Team (CTI) agents from the Prosecutor General’s Office arrested two prosecutors and four investigators for alleged narco-trafficking links, Caracol Radio reported Friday.

CTI agents from Bogota arrested two specialist prosecutors, three investigators and a DAS employee in the department of Antioquia. They are accused of aiding criminal gangs and narco-trafficking groups in Antioquia by changing and modifying investigations and making decisions favorable to the groups.

The six will answer to the charges of conspiracy, bribery and influence peddling. A judge will assess whether or not there is enough evidence for a prosecution.

The operation to dismantle the network of corruption within the Antioquian prosecutors office continues
