11 guerrillas killed in police-military operation

Seven ELN guerrillas and four FARC guerrillas were killed in Taraza, in the central Colombian department of Antioquia in a joint operation between the police, army, and air force.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the air strike which killed the ELN guerrillas was based on intelligence provided by the national police, and army units on the ground then seized weapons and “intelligence material” from the guerrilla group.

Soldiers from the 25th Mobile Brigade killed three men and one woman from the FARC’s 18th Front during a battle with the guerrillas, and captured guns and equipment.
