‘10,000 victims of rain’ in Bogota

Bogota Mayor Samuel Moreno Rojas said that 10,000 people have been affected by floods and landslides in Colombia’s capitol this year.

The most-affected areas are the neighborhoods in the hills south-east of the capital, Radio Santa Fe reports.

Moreno added that a budget of COP12.68 billion ($6.7 million) has been approved by the Commission of Finance and the District Council.

This budget will provide additional resources to address health care programs, relocate those affected by the winter and repair roads and houses, the mayor added.
