Weekend box office numbers in Bogota hit record high

Nearly half a million movie-goers filled Bogota’s theaters on Saturday and Sunday, with reported ticket sales at $2.35 million.

The number of attendants to Cine Colombia’s theaters was close to half a million people (492,185), which is the company considers a record for a single weekend.

The strong ticket sales correspond to high entertainment consumption in Bogota. According to business magazine Portafolio, Colombians were predicted to have a high demand for entertainment during the first business quarter.
