Video footage of Colombian soccer stolen at Bogota airport

Video footage of Colombian soccer has been stolen at Bogota Eldorado airport, local media reported on Monday.

The footage belonged to Carl Worswick, a British sports journalist hired by FIFA to make a documentary about Colombian soccer.

Speaking to Blu Radio, the journalist explained that he was hired by FIFA three months ago to conduct interviews and attend games in Bogota, Cali and Barranquilla to “show the face of Colombian soccer.”

“No one knows what happened,” Worswick explained, “it was the suitcase that contained the only copies of 15 or 20 hours of recordings, plus some recording equipment, a laptop, laundry, keys to a house in England, personal documents and [approximately] $77.”

“Most important are the disks that contain the recordings that cost us so much work and effort,” stressed Worswick.
