Venezuelan Government admits it met with FARC secretariat

The Interior Minister said he met with both leaders of the National Liberation Army (ELN) and the complete secretariat of the FARC, but refused to say when and why he had those meetings.Rodríguez Chacín, one of President Hugo Chávez closest political allies, denies allegations by Colombian Defense Minister Juan Manuel Santos that FARC commander Iván Márquez currently in Venezuela, but did admit to know him. “Of course I know Iván Márquez, not only him, I know all of the FARC secretariat, from Todito to Marulanda,” the Interior Minister said.According to Rodríguez Chacín all meetings his government had with the FARC happened with the “full authorization” of the Colombian Government.
